NEWS: Scorsese and DiCaprio reteam for Belfort memoir

17 February 2011

Martin Scorsese and DiCaprio are to collaborate again for The Wolf of Wall Street, The Hollywood Reporter announced Wednesday. Terence Winter, a writer on The Sopranos, has scripted from Jordon Belfort's memoir.

Scorsese, DiCaprio's Appian Way and Alexandra Milchan will produce, and plan to reveal funding and filming details at Cannes in May.

The film will trace "Belfort's fast-dealing, drug-and-sex-drenched '90s-era tear through the halls of Wall Street, which eventually led to jail time in federal prison for offences related to stock market manipulation".

The Wolf of Wall Street is set to follow Scorsese's latest project, Hugo Cabret, which is set for a December release through Sony, and his adaptation of Shusako Endo's novel Silence for Warner Bros.
